Kathmandu: The Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Sorarai Potaru’ has been in the news for some time now. The film, starring Surya, was released in 2020. Meanwhile, it has been reported that actor Akshay Kumar is working on a remake of the movie. There have been reports that Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham and Akshay Kumar have been considered for the lead roles in the film.
According to the Times of India, Kumar has finally been cast in the lead role. Kumar had been in talks with the producers since last year, and he had given verbal approval. According to reports, Kumar will start shooting for the upcoming film ‘Selfie’ with Imran Hashmi, which will start shooting in February.
Meanwhile, Kumar will be shooting for five more films in 2022. Apart from remakes of ‘Selfie’ and ‘Surrai Potru’, he is working on a London based thriller. He will also be seen in Tiger Shroff’s Ali Abbas Zafar’s action comedy ‘Bade Miya Chhote Miya’. His other projects this year include ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Filming of Sanjay Puran Singh Chouhan’s film ‘Gorkha’ is likely to start by the end of this year.
